“9th HairanS Cup 2017” Tie-Sheet launched at a press meet

At a press meet held today on the newly constructed football ground, where the tournament will be played, Tie-Sheet for “9th HairanS Cup 2017” was launched and addressing the meet Mohan Kr. Shrestha, convener of the competition and vice president of Tanahun ANFA, informed about all the preparations and management going successfully and all set ready for the good competition with only 95% of the work left.

It is learned that the current Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs of Nepal, Bimalendra Nidhi is coming for the inauguration.

Total 16 participating teams are divided into two groups with 8 teams each and the opening match ie. on 28th Jan./15th Magh is between Triveni Yuwa Club and Nawa Yuwa Club. The Final will be on Feb. 4th/ Magh 22, clubs president Rabin Poudel said.

With this 9th edition of tournament, now we are taking our brand name HairanS Cup representing Tanahun district to the next level aiming for the same height and success of nations other bigger tournaments like Pokhara’s Aaha Rara Gold Cup, Dharan’s Budasubba Gold Cup, Lamjung’s Triveni Cup. And through this we hope its gonna help promote our tourism sector too which we are pushing for, added Poudel.

Shrestha further added,

“Unlike 7-A-side which had been organized regularly these days, this time people gonna enjoy the real standard of football tournament ie. 11-A-side which had not been played for years and will be played according to the ANFA rules and regulations.”

They have also stated zero tolerance to any irregularities, violence on and off the pitch and expect fair play from all the participating teams.

Clubs Treasurer Pokhram Thapa Magar said

We have estimated the cost of NRs. 10 lakhs for this tournament and to which our branch clubs from UK and US are pushing hard for the help. Also fund is being collected from friends, well-wishers around the globe and internally. And tomorrow all the ground work will be finished from white-line marking to building the stage.

Regarding the number of teams participating in this highest cash prized in the district of being only 16 Ganesh Thapa Magar, clubs reserved goalkeeper, explained

To set the standard and give that highest quality of game the club have restricted the number of participation teams. Actually there were quite a number of teams coming in some being same team divided into two but had to cut off as that will only help roughens the game procedures like electing Bye team and every normal player playing. But doing this, only dedicated best players will compete and put out the competitive game. Also sixteen is good for all the proper management.

Now after years of not seeing the standard Football game being played in the town HairanS Club (club that has been active since their established year 2007 involving and organizing different sport activities like basketball, football, volley competition have produced Sharmila Thapa in National Women Football team) has come out with bang that too with the highest cash prize ever in the District of NRs. 1,65,111/- (One lakh sixty five thousand one hundred and eleven) and NRs. 1,11,111/- (One lakh eleven thousand one hundred and eleven). The Team Entry fee is NRs.7,500/-ย only.

Everyone in the club can be seen working hard and putting their best effort to make it huge.

So lets help, support this tournament to be the next big thing in the nation with mass of people watching every single game going to the ground.

And i’m very sure every single game will be of hard competition with good performances from each teams as the best of the best selected teams are only included in the tournament.
